Home Activities
Hi parents, we've put together a few activities as well as learning sites you can use with your child while at home during this time to continue learning and having fun. The first activity that we came up with is sticker addition. Before our break we were working on our math skill building. This activity allows students to use different colored dots to place in the squares to add up each equation. Here's an example:
For our next activity we came up with a hands on matching lesson, you can use any materials you have at home such as stuffed animals, balls, utensils, you name it. Parents would have to write the name of the item on a sheet of paper and then the students can match each item to its name, sounds simple and fun! Example below:
Now, here are some websites you can use for math and reading games www.abcmouse.com, www.funbrain.com, and www.readingrockets.org.
We hope you enjoy these activities and websites.
