Book Report!

Hello parents, here is a little book report for the students to do while stuck in the house! The book I want the students to do a report on is "The Very Hungry Caterpillar." By: Eric Carle! Here is the link for the book on Youtube if not available at home! https://youtu.be/75NQK-Sm1YY This is what I would like the kids to write on a piece a paper. What is the title of the book? Who is the author and the illustrator of the book? Who is the main character of the book? What is the setting of the book? Which part of the book was your favorite? Draw a picture of something from the book! After you are done with these questions please just take a picture of it and submit it under the blog post! Have fun, and remember continue to wash your hands!!

Home Activities

Hi parents, we've put together a few activities as well as learning sites you can use with your child while at home during this time to continue learning and having fun. The first activity that we came up with is sticker addition. Before our break we were working on our math skill building. This activity allows students to use different colored dots to place in the squares to add up each equation. Here's an example: For our next activity we came up with a hands on matching lesson, you can use any materials you have at home such as stuffed animals, balls, utensils, you name it. Parents would have to write the name of the item on a sheet of paper and then the students can match each item to its name, sounds simple and fun! Example below: Now, here are some websites you can use for math and reading games www.abcmouse.com, www.funbrain.com, and www.readingrockets.org. We hope you enjoy these activities and websites.

Letter to Parents

-A Letter To You and Your Child-               Dear parents and students, We are so glad we had the opportunity to spend the time we did with your children. Although, sadly, our time together has ended earlier than expected due to COVID-19. With that being said, we will be posting activities and at home practice you and your child can do while school is out, so no one gets behind. We will also be in contact with you all soon to schedule a time to do at home calls with the students to let them know we are still here for them if they need help or just someone to talk to. Please feel free to contact us if you need ideas, help with lessons, or anything at all. Everyone please stay safe and we will talk to you all soon! Don't forget to wash your hands! 😊👏
